It’s officially winter! Actually, it has been for a little over two weeks but just had to mention that since I need that reminder and you might too because..what is going on?!. If you are like me, the weather will have you believe that it is not winter since it is not freezing cold, no snow, and no sleet. I am aware that certain parts of the country do have several inches of snow. Nonetheless, most of the country and parts of the world are warm. Unbelievably warm! Seriously, it is warm everywhere from what I have heard and read.  For instance, it is in the 60s-70s in various parts of Southern America.

Now even though winter has arrived, there are still certain items needed for winter. Why? Well, you never know when the temperature will drop to the 20s, teens, or zero and below. Since the weather is unpredictable, it’s best to be as prepared as possible.

You might be wondering, ” How can I do that?” Get some warm and cute clothing, accessories, and…boots! If you are unsure of what kind of boots to get, keep reading for some ideas.

The boots I am going to be showing are boots that I have had for almost 3 years! I bought them on sale at Macy’s because I love to purchase most of my clothes, shoes, and everything else on sale/ clearance when I can help it. I also needed new boots especially since it was winter.

These are the  3 BEST boots you need to add to your winter style:

  1. XOXO Taniah Ankle boots [ RED ]

There you have it! Three boots [from Macy’s] to take your winter style to the next level. Now, you will be warm, cute, and stylish!  My favorite is #3 because of the block heel. Which one will you be adding to your boot collection? Let me know in the comments below.

Every once in a while I like to wear faux lashes. I don’t know how people can wear them daily. Whew! At first, I was not a fan of them because it seemed complicated to put them on. Not only that, it would almost always take me 30 minutes to get the lashes right or the glue would get in my eye! Ugh! Nonetheless, I still liked to wear them. Just used a lot of caution. My go-to is usually the Ardell natural lashes or the L.A. colors faux lashes. This was until I heard about magnetic lashes!

I wanted to try them out but wasn’t in a rush to do so. However, when I saw one of my best friends wear them, I knew I had to give it a shot. They looked very nice on her and her experience had been a great one!

Ironically, just as I was thinking about purchasing the magnetic lashes, Influenster and Kiss sent me a complimentary product. You guessed it! They sent me magnetic lashes! I was very relieved because I was able to save some money but also try a product I was curious about

The one that I received was the Charm. Not only did it come with the magnetic lashes but also the eyeliner which was black!

Here are my pros and cons:

Pros

Easy application

Available at Target, Walmart, and Amazon

Looked natural

Lashes stayed on the whole time I wore them

Easy to take them off

Cons

Some difficulty cutting since the magnets keep getting attached to the scissors

There can be smudging

There is my review on the Kiss magnetic lashes! Have you tried magnetic lashes before? Let me know in the comments below.

Winter is underway! The fabrics that are usually worn to keep us warm and cozy are wool, silk, cashmere, and velvet. I love wearing all of these but my absolute favorite is velvet!

Every time I watch classic shows from the 80s and 90s such as Living Single, Saved By The Bell, Boy Meets World, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, The Nanny, and Martin, I was always delighted by the fashion. Especially the Velvet outfits!

Typically, the velvet dresses were worn with tights and heels or the velvet blouse would be paired with high-waisted jeans along with ankle boots. Absolutely cute and comfortable!

Ever since then, I said, ” I need some velvet in my closet!” Now, of course, it can be worn year-round. You might be thinking, “Really?!” Oh yes! For example, during the warmer months in the summer, you can opt for spaghetti tops and crop tops. My preferred time to eat velvet is during the colder months. Specifically, Fall and Winter.

Additionally, you can be casual or dressy with velvet. Three of the most popular velvet colors are red, green, and black. Black will probably be the first color that people will go for. I do understand as that is one of my favorite colors. As is red. However, green is actually the first color I go for when it comes to the cold weather!

Here are 17 velvet outfits to add to your closet:

  1. Velvet Belted Dress

2. Velvet Off-Shoulder Gown

3. Open Back Velvet Dress

4. One-shoulder Velvet dress

5.  A-line Velvet dress

10. Velvet Faux-Wrap Dress

14. Velvet mermaid bodycon dress

15. Velvet Keyhole dress

16. Velvet mini dress

17. Velvet bodycon evening dress

So many different beautiful styles! I’m going to say my favorite is 8. Actually, I have two favorites: 8 & 9! Which one(s) will you be adding to your closet? Let me know in the comment below!

It seems the fall weather wants to come sooner than expected. The breeze is cooler and the temperature is dropping in the morning & evening. It feels quite nice actually! Besides the change in the weather, I tend to associate certain colors with fall/autumn. Those colors are shades of orange, red, and brown. You might be thinking, “I thought orange was for the summertime” Honestly, I see people rock those colors during the fall.

Below are some of the beautiful fall nail colors. Don’t worry! Any of the colors will look fabulous on you!

When I think of summer, I think hot weather( whew ), maxi dresses, and bright colors. The colors that are always ‘in’ for warm weather are yellow, orange, white, and blue. I love those colors! This also applies to nail polish. However, I wanted to opt for some other colors. These are lighter colors that I got from Sinful Colors and influenster! I was even more pleased since they weren’t the typical colors that one would expect.

These complimentary products were sent to me in exchange for my opinion. I received the Sinful Colors Essenchills Eucalyptahhh and Essenchills Milk Bath.

As a matter of fact, these have been the main nail polish products that I have been using and I really like them!

pale pink and mint green nail polish

Eucalyptahhh (left), Milky bath (right)

According to the website, Bath Goals is supposed to have the scent of a milky bath. To me, it doesn’t smell like that. That doesn’t take away from the fact that the pale pink is very pretty!

In addition, Essenchills Eucalyptahh, as you can probably guess from the name, is also supposed to smell like Eucalyptus. This one does!  It also has a very lovely mint green color.

Eucalyptahhh

Pros

  • Easy to apply
  • Quick dry
  • Creamy finish
  • Affordable
  • Toluene, Formaldehyde and DBP free
  • Pretty colors
  • Eucalyptahhh does smell like Eucalyptus a little bit

Cons

  • Not cruelty-free
  • Doesn’t smell like the Milk bath
  • Needed more than two coats

Overall, I really do like these products! The Bath Goals is the one I prefer between the two. This is because it is very subtle and natural; it is more appropriate for everyday wear. Yet, Eucalyptahhh can also be everyday wear but I would rather save that for certain occasions like brunch, date night, or beach day 🙂

Welcome [ Akwaaba ]

The year was 2020 and I had intentions of traveling to multiple countries and states. Unfortunately, once the Coronavirus came about, I decided to get rid of that idea. Thankfully, I was able to travel via cruise before the lockdown. So, where did I go? Mexico!

I was very excited because that was one of the countries on my list to visit. Plus, I had not been out of the country in quite a long time. The trip was much needed and I have intentions of going back with my beautiful family—my husband and baby boy!

While on the trip, I donned some very cute outfits (if I do say so myself). They weren’t over the top but still simple & lovely. In case the look is too simple for you, one of these will add a little boost. With that being said, check out the looks from Mexico below!

🎶Summer Summer Summertime!🎶

Yes! Let’s get into some lipstick! A quick tip: to keep my lips moisturized, I use lip chap from the dollar store! The one I use contains the following ingredients: Himalayan pink salt and shea butter! It helps my lips stay soft. If you have been having trouble keeping your lips moisturized while wearing lipsticks, give it a shot! It will only cost you….one dollar!

During the warm season, I like to put on a mix of rouges, pinks, and neutral colors. These are great for dark skin and you will not have to break the bank. So, you can apply any of these shades and your look will be complete.

Each  of these glide on so nicely and easily. Did I mention that each of these is affordable? Yes! Each of these cost under….$10! With that being said, here are my favorite lipsticks for the summer!

Ah yes…The cold weather! 😶 As with all the seasons, I have love/ hate relationships with the Fall & Winter. Why? Well, one moment it can be a cool 60-70s degrees. After a couple of blinks, it’s in the 30s-40s. Really?? Pick one!

Nevertheless, I prefer when the temperature is in the 70s-early 80s. It isn’t too hot or too cold even. Besides, there is a  nice breeze throughout the day while the sun shines. I  Love it.😎

As we are in the last few days of the Fall season, I wanted to give some fashion inspo. Sometimes we are unsure of how things will look together.  Well, I managed to put four outfits together with…one bodysuit. The color I chose was red because it is one of my favorite colors. However, any color or bodysuit could work.

Even though this wardrobe is mainly targeted towards chilly/ slightly cold weather, they can also be worn in the lukewarm winter days or springtime.

Not to mention, the outfits are cute, affordable and perfect for trips. If you are traveling and want to pack lightly, these outfits are great! ; You won’t have to worry about paying for luggage. As a result, it can save money! On the other hand, if you are going on a road trip, you may not want to worry about heavy baggage. I surely try to dodge that situation.

These outfits can be worn to places such as the club, lounge, brunch, and lunch.

One more thing I would like to say is I have had each article of clothing for at least 3 months. I have not experienced any shrinkage. So, they can last a good while. 😅

Which bodysuit outfit is your favorite? Let me know in the comments.

Thanks ( Medase! )
